I think I read the CGT & Negative Gearing changes will make a difference of $8bil over four years.
And this is the "ambitious" part of the budget?
Seems small fry to me. Especially next to the NDIS and Defence amounts.
The housing changes needed to be done decades ago, and now more is needed to fix a broken situation.
@troberts 84% of the Budget savings over forward estimates are directly due to NDIS cuts. And there’s no alternative place for people to get the supports they used to get from NDIS. We know from pre NDIS times that unmet disability support needs end up in more costs in hospitals, education, homelessness, and the justice system, and reduced productivity in the economy.
