@kevinrothrock yeah this is an open secret in the itsec community.
Another fun trick is adding artifacts of various virtualization guest tools and monitoring tools to make your systems look like malware sandboxes. A lot of malware has checks for virtualization, security tools, etc., and will automatically disable itself under those conditions.
Does that trick cause secondary effects? Like, an overzealous anti-cheat erroneously declaring you a cheater because of the sandboxing?
