I love to help people learn #RustLang and get better at Rust programming! I have well over a decade of experience with Rust (including extensive work on Rust from before 1.0, core team membership, and other leadership work), and have helped numerous people learn it and teams successfully adopt it.
Engagements are typically 3-6 months, 4-12 hours/per week. I'll have 1:1s with team members, review code, and be available via Slack, etc. for online support. I can also do group training if desired, covering the basics or specific, advanced topics.
I can quickly get teams up the learning curve to confidently write high-quality Rust code. I can help you navigate the ecosystem and community, share best practices, implement specialized code (unsafe, performance-sensitive, etc.), and get you loving the borrow checker rather than fighting it!
I can help you assess if Rust is a good fit for your team or company, guide your Rust adoption, and help develop a Rust strategy.
I have availability pretty much immediately, get in touch for a free chat: nrc@ncameron.org, or https://www.ncameron.org for more info.
🎉🎉 I've been working with the folk at Tailscale on their new Rust library. Last week it was officially announced (https://tailscale.com/blog/tailscale-rs-rust-tsnet-library-preview) along with open-sourcing the code (https://github.com/tailscale/tailscale-rs). It's a very cool project and exciting to see a (preview) release! The team working on it are deep domain experts and good people, and it's been a real pleasure helping them succeed with Rust.
