Architecture Week's Great Buildings was one of the most incredible websites. a remnant of an earlier era where computers and the internet were very heavily about sharing knowledge
this site was a kind of encyclopedia of architecture, a curated collection of wonderful things, made easy to browse. the architectural equivalent of 1990s multimedia CD-ROM encyclopedias
I don't know of anything comparable today
