Remember last year the drama about trying to figure out who installed a cell phone shelf in a specific bathroom stall on a specific floor? Now there's an entire shaving and mouthwash station with a tip jar!
The wifi in this building sucks so much ass and they took away all the Ethernet hookups because people kept plugging random shit in.
@dkub Same thing when I worked in a particular building occasionally at Purdue. Except in this case they didn't put in Ethernet at all aside from the computer room. Same result: everyone being on WiFi that sucks because everyone else is on it as well.
@dkub I also want to add that if your org wanted to keep people from plugging whatever they wanted in the Ethernet ports to get Internet access they could have implemented the same authentication that they do on WiFi. A client I went on-site for in one of my previous jobs did exactly that and it worked.
