I have friends and family in the 3 western hemisphere Anglo countries - the UK, Canada, and the US.
And while I don't know anyone in Australia or New Zealand in meatspace, there's quite a few folks from there who read my posts and articles and have, from time to time, helped me understand they're dealing the exact same faux-liberal center capitalist collaborator bullshit the rest of us in the Pig Empire are. I'm definitely hazier once you leave the Anglosphere and defer to locals.
@AnarchoNinaWrites Yup, same in France. François Hollande is making a comeback - he once polled at 4% during his presidency and still can't take a hint. And the media has been trying to make Raphaël Glucksmann happen as if anyone besides his sycophantic journalist girlfriend gave a single fuck about him. The entire right wing of the PS is working overtime to dismantle any kind of left we have.
@tarmil HA! Finally some French political history I actually KNOW about - I was around and paying attention for Hollande imploding. I love that people kept telling me "but he's a SOCIALIST" - yeah okay, sure... I mean in name... but lol. Austerity muppet babykiller.

So while I may not have a great grasp of French or German politics, I can see that the Nazi parties in those countries are polling at levels that imply they will make up the next governments there.
@AnarchoNinaWrites here in Slovakia our liberal saviors are trying to convince the electorate to vote for a coalition of somewhat socially progressive liberals who still mostly seem to believe in trickle-down economics, libertarians who think owning a car with combustion engine is the most important human right and bronze-age-brained christians who most important policy is to regulate hoo-hoo. The alternative is oligarch mafia + (ex-?)skinheads in 3-piece suits.
@AnarchoNinaWrites In Gemany its not only because we still love Nazis(We do that too) Its also because ALL and I mean ALL political parties aside the AFD are hardcore neoliberal.
I wish i had time for the history of the SPD a 125 year old former marxist worker party thats only slightly to the left of starmer OR the Greens radicals from The 1968 movement that speedran the same development as the SPD :purging themselves of radical elements untill they became a green painted conservative party.1/2
