Nothing important is simple.
For me, this belief, that nothing is simple, is the only reliable hallmark of maturity.
And I'm a bitter old man, I *know* how tempting it is to draw a line and declare a rule and pretend one knows, how incredibly comforting it is.
But I'm a bitter old man, and I also know how many awful things we do in the name of our simple rules and straight lines.
Nothing important is simple.
