I just think that most Americans really don't understand the degree to which we have almost always been led by supervillains who quite intentionally built the torment nexus. This is what they do. And we've done the "reform" thing a bunch of times and they still keep doing it. Capitalists societies do not reward good, compassionate, caring people who help others, with power. It just doesn't happen
