Some suggestions you could use instead of "blind" for ignoring, minimising, etc:

Ignoring, minimising, excusing, apologising, not wanting to see or acknowledge, and in some contexts even a verb like facilitating, are some alternatives people can use, having the added benefit that these verbs make clear that these are things people do.
