Tomorrow, I am going to break my perfect streak so far this year of "not driving for work".
I can either drive for 3 hours, or take 6 hours with a combination of cycling and the train.
Annoying, but that's a big difference :(

@neil unfortunately the trainlines in this country tend to be based around travel to or from London, with one a few cross country lines.
I recently took a train back from Glasgow. The route included four different trains, 3 of which had an eventual destination of London.
Getting to, say, Milton Keynes is a 1 hour drive each way or near 2.5 hours each way by public transport, including walking and multiple trains.
