Although Apple Passwords, which is not available for Android, can’t help you here, there are awesome apps that can handle this for you. Including 1Password, Bitwarden, Dashlane, and even Google Password Manager (part of Google Chrome). Note that Google Password Manager is free.

@rmondello chiming in with personal experience: i use a pixel and a macbook air and bitwarden's been awesome for me

(op says "without having to use a third party password manager?", if they use https://passwords.google that might mean that they'd have to use chrome on the mac?)

@rmondello what happens if I accidentally delete a passkey? What strategy should a website implement to allow a user to recover its account when it’s protected by a passkey?

@rmondello Apple (IMO) should do more in general on the services side.

Apple Music and basic iCloud stuff being on Android/Windows/etc is nice, but other things like Passwords, FaceTime, iMessage, Photos sharing, etc would go a long way towards both improving Apple’s “cloud” reputation (which is still pretty meh because of things that happened 10 years ago) and - more importantly - reducing regulatory scrutiny in lots of countries.
