I am currently testing an interactive map for my website which displays the location of the tales in my book by number.
It's at the bottom of this page. Tell me what you think!
EDIT: The new map is _below_ the Google Map at the top of the page - be sure to check the correct map!

Seems to work well (although hitting full screen on the map (on my phone) took the map out of context— the marker didn’t open the pop-up info). I think that’s always an issue with embedded Google maps.
I chose the story from Groningen — the site closest to where my grandfather was born near Dokkum.
It's a Leaflet map, actually, not a Google map.
Well, at least the map at the bottom of the page is - the one at the top is the old map based on Google, which I want to replace with the new one (because #GoogleSucks ).
Thanks for the heads-up. I missed the essential and I was going to say the google map was overly busy with eight different markers. I like the Leaflet map much better and not only for the obvious reason that it isn't Google. You might want to include some more info about the story in the pop-up, though, like the source. But overall I like the less busy layout better.
It works even on full screen mode!
The semi-transparent menu has several entries for the story I read (#29) — one entry I guess for each location marked. The multiple entries on the list seem a little mysterious at first, but it makes sense.
