apparently there has been talk that the production of the three-faced christ images popular in america a few centuries ago were also a point of confusion where people then believe what they are witnessing is the trinity being 3 separate gods and not One God with 3 Affects. Note: i also have heard talk that the mormons believe the 3 entity "trinity".

@zardoz so like is the trinity a way to explain "jesus and god are tighter than father and son—father and son was a little lie we told you before to avoid confusing notation—but we still want to use father/son when we [the catholic church] your [victims] so to avoid all this.......

@hipsterelectron i am going to be perfectly honest with you its probably either
a) reforming other older narratives of them being related, i.e. rel(father,son) is now actually
rel(father, son). rel(spirit, son). rel(spirit, father).
b) related to hellenistic ideas of emanation you also see in like gnosticism. so like the Father/Word was first coeternal with the spirit, and then emanated the Logos immediately after.

i might be getting things wrong here but.

@zardoz would a non-prolog (i am thinking of backtracking) solver result in any distinct graph from the above code? i suspect not bc a relation graph is not supposed to be order-dependent. i'm curious about this bc we use ASP/clingo in spack and i rly need to write that paper on why ASP models sparse problem spaces better

@hipsterelectron a non trivial part of religious works is arguing with other people (having mystical experiences and thinking the heavens underneath the earth they went to and saw multiple mile long fingers) saying they are speaking actual nonsense. AFAIK that was something Maimonides wrote about wrt the "hekhalot"/"merkava" literature.

@zardoz gödel proposed a shockingly beautiful constructive proof in 1934 which solves a related problem in mathematical schisms. i guess that seems to be how it works in christian theology too tbh?

when you say "actual nonsense" would that translate to "let this guy chill out and reflect so we can more easily agree upon stuff" vs "this statement/clause is internally contradictory" vs "this claim is incompatible with the teachings of professor gible"

Some early Christians whose beliefs would have fallen under 'orthodoxy' in the third and fourth centuries denied the eternal generation of the Son; they viewed the Son as having been begotten in time.

@hipsterelectron lucifer is still under the dominion of God, and hence is simply God's strongest fed. there is no dualist contradiction between the two.
