It should be noted that this could've been avoided if the state governor, Kathy Hochul, was willing to increase the corporate tax rate by a measly 2%.
Mamdani and his team are determined to find the funding for his projects and to balance the insane city budget deficit that the previous mayor created. Whether the governor is fiscally and morally responsible enough to help with that or not is on her.
@jeffjarvis If they can't afford it, they can move to one of their other houses in a different state. When they say they will move elsewhere, they just mean to one of their other houses.
