I just sent my first grant request to help fund my open source work, mainly to replace my old Mac. It crashes during builds, forcing me to kill apps and delete files to free up space, then wipe everything and reinstall emulators when switching between Android and iOS. For now I've focused on Android, but it defeats the whole point of buying a Mac. A new machine would let me work on both.
Fingers crossed! I'll keep you informed.

Do you have a link for people to donate to FediLab?
@thefulcrum Thanks for asking! I have a page on my dev website: https://tom79.dev/support/
@apps I just switched my five-year old intel macbook to linux, it's been unusable for xcode work for at least the last two years, but now it's a happy camper and I got most of my disk space back.
@fedicat
Yes, my current Mac is fine for regular use but not for dev. Builds fail if I keep too many windows open, so I have to free memory and delete caches or emulators every time, which forces me to choose between Android and iOS (both environments need a lot of space).
@apps For the moment I'd suggest everyone to help you through liberapay and stuff.
