Rewatching the Brosnan Bonds (don't judge me, I'm sick in bed), and so far GoldenEye was good, Tomorrow Never Dies is ok but The World Is Not Enough is basically unwatchable; I literally didn't understand what was going on or why I should care about any of this (and even the action sequences were boring).
Anyway, one more (Die Another Day) to go.

@thomasfuchs Probably the superior easy to watch it. I don't think you'll miss the extra 30-40 minutes they add into the director's cut 😂
@thomasfuchs my two cents on the Brosnan films as a Bond fan: very uneven. Some big risks were taken, not all paid off
@thomasfuchs In Tomorrow Never Dies, I really wanted the setup when Elliot Carver types one-handed on a tiny wireless keyboard in front of a movie theatre-sized screens.
Interestingly, I recently did the same for the Craig films, and found the same pattern.
For me, the first was the best and they went downhill to the end (and yea, Skyfall has its merits, but QoS, after Casino Royal, works well as a sequel and pays off CR’s plot while skyfall is bloated)
@thomasfuchs as a James Bond Movie fan, I strongly feel Brosnan was the best Bond but got stuck with the worst movies. Goldeneye was fantastic, but the other three just aren't any good at all.

Die Another Day was bad enough to make them reboot the whole franchise.
I feel a bit bad for Brosnan because he worked as Bond. The movies they put him in were mostly lame.

growing up, we only had the The World Is Not Enough game on 64 so I grew really attached to it, long before ever seeing the movie 😄 the disappointment was considerable once I've watched it.
But the game is still fire, perfecting the Goldeneye formula in many ways.
