I opened a Bluesky account long ago, in the hopes that some of my more liberal friends would eventually migrate there (since they couldn’t be convinced to move to Mastodon).
A few did. Their accounts are dormant. They wandered right back to Meta.
Now that I have no reason whatsoever to keep the account, I’m deleting it. Everything I’ve heard about them recently (their moderation, funding, etc.) makes me realize that the Fediverse is probably the last real open social available.
