@Jeremiah Both me and a colleague run their predecessors and I like them – I haven’t the largest of experiences with headphones and I kind of bought these to make sure that stays the case – and as expected I can even upgrade my pair to this latest pair down the line, which is quite cool!
(And most importantly; I can replace the battery, cushions etc)

@voxpelli Thanks for the review! Do they create an airplane pressurization sensation on your ears when you turn on active noise canceling? This is the thing about Sony and Bose headphones that I dislike and why I was leaning towards the Apple AirPods Max.
@Jeremiah Not that I have noticed, no, and with tinnitus and such I think I would be quite sensitive to that
