@moonsea dantley davis was the head of design at the time and he largely served to quash internal employee resistance pre-musk acq and he did this very public and rude thing where he characterized user safety work someone was doing (asian woman, forgetting her name, we're mutuals on twitter but idr her handle, she's rly cool) as if it were some sort of childish thing, basically implying BTS stans are all childish and not an important userbase (was rly excessively misogynist) and it was confusing on its own but made more sense in the context of like how twitter comms was negging every employee in the wake of trump being in the hospital, etc.....it was an event that made me realize later how all these struggles are connected. super vague sorry

@moonsea also the first time i had ever seen any any black authority figure cozying up to white supremacy. i had heard the word intersectionality before but it hadn't clicked
