that's not a construction that would have occurred to me; I'm curious what makes it "basically work" for you
like I'd read it the other way around, as a "that's what I'm happening *to*," which feels very Hitchhiker's Guide but takes less movement of the verb arguments
but I could imagine it being a regional pattern?
