I know, it’s different to verify yourself by adding a link to your website instead of depending on some Bluesky team members. But I do not care. I just „verify“ to myself that I trust more in ActivityPub, the Fediverse and the communities here and keep on doing what I do.

@_elena The name of the member to be re-verfied sounds very similiar to a member of the German Parliament 😄 Does Eurosky give every user this special attention? Sounds like a lot of work 😁

@makeratschool @_elena They do take care a lot, especially for the politicians that feel flattered by this act of „support“ from… wait for it… Bluesky. I think the Fediverse is more honest about this and says: go and verify yourself if you need checkmarks of any color. I do not believe that Eurosky will grow out of the dependence from Bluesky ever. I wish my future me tells me that I was wrong.
