I mean I have this fight with the love of my life constantly precisely because I am NOT saying the Iranian government is "honest." No governments are "honest" don't be a fucking rube. Iran has spit out a couple of unhinged fibs in this war too
But more or less, the Iranian narration of the war has been accurate and ours hasn't. Trump says Straight is open, Iran says it's closed - turns out its closed. Trump says Iran will surrender, Iran says "not a chance" turns out no surrender, etc
