@dangillmor the biggest issue right now is buying disks
Most hdd manufacturers are bought out for the rest of the year, so vendors with stock can charge what they want
@dangillmor I don't know your exact requirements but I've been using synology NAS units for about 10 years at both home and work. They're good little boxes, pretty easy to get going.

@dangillmor consider a TrueNAS box (or build your own and then install it). Zfs snapshots, plugins, etc. great forums too
