This #hantavirus story worries me.
We live in a much worse world than in 2020, and this virus seems much worse than Covid.
Let’s hope for the best.

@stefano It’s been around for a log time, and it’s been nowhere near as contagious as Covid. I suspect containment would not be difficult, *if they actually employed infection control measures instead of deliberately putting infected people on airline flights without even a respirator.* 🤡🤦🏻♂️

Let's just hope it will self-contain, as many other viruses did in the past.
@stefano I suppose the one thing we have learned from the Covid pandemic is that propaganda works really well for downplaying infectious diseases, and that letting people die is preferable to mild inconvenience.
We can be certain that “It’s just another flu*,” “it’s not airborne,” “just wash your hands,” etc. will apply to every single emergent or epidemic infectious disease going forward.
