at protocol is vastly superior to activitypub, which is why mastodon immediately grew a network of servers and after three years, at proto has two (2) full nodes and sometimes they send posts to each other

Some folks not may not realize this is sarcasm... 🤷
@davidgerard I’ve heard of something called "NorthSky" but have no idea how autonomous they are. So, 2.1?
@grumpybozo not sure, but the huge bits are the relay and the appview
@davidgerard Mastodon: federated. Bluesky: says "federated" on the PR sheet.
@davidgerard Posting a picture on Bluesky feels so bad. Every time I do, I want to ask them, "Why did you design a big turd?"
@davidgerard I thought there were 4? The original one, the canadian one I forgot the name of, the european one Eurosky, and the Black USAmerican one Blacksky?
Maybe some of them are not actually full nodes?
In any case, it's still ridiculous. But, for some reason, more popular. Maybe because things that just work and are cheap are not as media-worthy.
@delcano there's northsky and eurosky, but blacksky is the only one that runs its own relay and appserver (both huge) and even then only when riding the bluesky ones fail
@davidgerard any prompt now
