Just a minor technical details: I don't use a Wordpress or a ready made plugin: I wrote in php a code to retrieve the comments on my blog via the Mastodon API, I share it here https://www.davidrevoy.com/article981/i-may-have-found-an-alternative-solution-to-my-blogs-comment-system
So technically, it's not my blog post that goes on the Fediverse; it's just I dual post, and on the blog I enter the URL of the related Mastodon post so it grabs the comments. Not super automatic, but a DIY 😊
