@halcy we should have TeX in all posts
@halcy correct opinion: cohost-style inline css
@NicoleTheLizard that's relatively orthodox, I feel
@halcy Brutal opinion: we should be allowed to use TX segment-formatted messages as specified in the HL7-Definition V2.
@stage7 I don't know what this means but it seems out there so definitely a good idea
@halcy I had to learn HL7 Control Chapter to get certified. Very summarized, it's an agnostic-infra standard to exchange medical information.
Here's an example (oh and I mistyped "segment" when I meant "field"): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HL7#HL7_Version_2
@stage7 oh actually health level 7 strikes a chord
... though I do not remember why.
@halcy galaxy brain opinion: we should have the same styling freedom as on myspace
@halcy@icosahedron.website it would be pretty cool to be able to send ansi art in posts,,
Why shouldn't we have styling on mastodon? (I know nothing about the subject)
@mespique no styling (keeping things minimal) vs some styling (useful in many cases) is a long standing debate with good arguments on from my limited exposure to it either side. I have no strong or particularly well informed opinion on it. I think ANSI escapes would be hilarious tho
@halcy i can not fav this in good conscience ;)
