@jalefkowit In some ways, this is a good thing, but they should ask for consent, like other products do for this sort of thing (i.e., JetBrains IDEs install a local model but they ask first), and they really should work on shrinking it down. Surely they can do much better than 4GB?

@stof @jalefkowit Right, but presumably, if you’re not using AI features, you wouldn’t give it permission to download the model.
@ramsey @stof @jalefkowit But if you use Chrome, AI features are enabled by default, and they are not easily disabled.
Solution, don't use Chrome.
