when misty said she and ash would get married but didn't i thought that was the saddest thing in the whole world

@hipsterelectron Did Pokemon end in a way that Misty and Ash not getting married was closed as a possibility? Or is it something that could happen offscreen after the events of the show?
@sashin i think it's still going and it's still ash ketchum but not misty :(((( so he goes on these very lengthy trips and only after several months comes to see her
misty i know you won't love me like him but i would do anything for you
