I've said this here before and I'll say it again. I find public celebrations of anyone's illness or death disgusting. No matter how terrible you consider a person to be -- and how terrible they actually are -- they are human beings, often with innocent family and other relatives. It's perfectly appropriate to say that the world is now a better place without them and similar proclamations focused on their actions and behaviors, but sinking down to their level only brings disgrace to you, not to them.

Sadly, I recently saw this celebration of Israel adopting a death penalty for Palestinians with a depiction of a noose on a cake.
