@ai6yr this second pummer was much easier to build because i did it deadbug style. Unfortunately it also doesn't work! In fact, it works even less than the last one

The modern online retail economy sucks!
I need one 74AC240 chip for this. I could order a pack of 10 of them from Amazon (yuck) for $12.25 + $6.99 shipping, a single one from ebay for $2.50 + $12.50 shipping, a pack of 10 of them from ebay for $4.99 + $5.20 shipping, or one for $2 + $10 shipping from Mouser.

I got my chips from @ai6yr today and built a pummer. Unfortunately this pummer is a failure. I'm not sure why yet
@ai6yr I built it on perfboard because I wanted this to be non-permanent in case I messed something up. I might go ahead and try building it dead bug style to see if I can get it working that way
