Whyyyy did I volunteer to give a Zoom talk on a Sunday?
(Because it's the Canadian amateur astronomy annual national meeting, and teaching people about satellite pollution is important. I'm still a teeny bit annoyed at Past Me for volunteering though)

My incredibly depressing horrible talk is done. I desperately need to snuggle some baby goats now.

Anyway. It's fine. Just had to take a moment to fangirl a little bit.
One of the people watching mentioned in chat that BlueBird 7 (one of those fucking terrible stupidly bright and loud AST SpaceMobile satellites that failed to achieve the right orbit) will likely burn up in the atmosphere today (what a fucking waste). I can't find info about it though... Anybody know?

According to https://www.satcat.com/sats/68765 and https://celestrak.org/satcat/table-satcat.php?CATNR=68765&MAX=500, AST Bluebird 7 decayed (entered atmosphere) (using active de-orbit) on April 20.
@sundogplanets Was it the blueorigin launch last month that delivered its payload to the wrong orbit?
There must be an error, that video is about billionaires polluting the night sky, I want the goat cuddling video.
@sundogplanets At scientific conferences starting on a Sunday, I always had enormous respect for those who gave up their time to make presentations.
@sundogplanets I like to look for that person or small bit of information that I wouldn’t have seen or heard if I hadn’t gone and it sends me on a whole new thought trajectory.
