C’mon, man. You can dislike Dawkins plenty (which I do) and feel the same way about Anthropic and Claude (which I also do), and still recognize that this is merely effusiveness of expression. Let’s not beclown ourselves in our rush to shame the designated Enemy.
@adamgreenfield But this isn't merely form. He's making a grand claim: chatbots are conscious. He might not be “AI psychotic”—and that's not a term i would use either. But he is propagandizing for AI.
@magitweeter Yes! He is, clearly. And we have the language that lets us say just that.
