and then compares it to people who hate art. i have a thyroid condition and ocd (i'm aware i'm not the only one) and constantly have people pathologizing and tone policing me for not emoting the way they want. it hurts to be told i'm too capitalist to enjoy the world and the cavalier nature of this is casually harmful
@ionchy i don't think "i am pathologized by capitalism for enjoying food" needs to turn into "people who genuinely do not find food to be an important experience to them are agents of capitalism or otherwise illiterate". you can just call capitalism bad without pathologizing individual people for acting weird
@ionchy i've also been told ocd is my fault and to lighten up i can never win by existing and this is why i don't have any friends. i appreciate when you post about food and it brings me joy. i understand you do that because it's important to you and i appreciate it. i don't think the quoted tweet was so thoughtful
