One thing that #genAI has thoroughly soured for me is searching references for my artists to draw illustrations from and image search in general. Even with DuckDuckGo's "hide AI images", I get like 75% slop. It used to be fun to look through the search results, even if there were many results that weren't what I was looking for. But looking at slop is not fun. It's just tedious. It reminds me that I have to pay extra hard attention not to share AI slop by accident. I hate it.
