i find this kind of stuff really annoying https://fedi.copyleft.org/@bkuhn/116507154002082281 you don't need to use ln from coreutils. you can just write a shell function. an environment variable that modifies argument parsing makes my cortisol rise. i don't understand why people need the entire world to change for them because they feel uncomfortable as if directly calling the gnu coreutils executable is the only way to create a symlink
