My landlord didn’t fix my boiler for over half a year.
Frustrating? Definitely.
But it also taught me a surprisingly valuable business lesson:
Time is money.
Without a working boiler, I skipped daily long showers and saved ~30 minutes a day. That’s 3.5 hours a week — time I started reinvesting into things that actually move the needle: learning, building, and focused work.
It made me realize how many “normal” habits quietly consume our time without us questioning them.
Sometimes constraints force clarity.
Sometimes inconvenience creates efficiency.
Not saying I recommend cold mornings…
But I do recommend asking:
👉 What am I doing every day that feels necessary but isn’t actually productive?
Curious — what’s a small change that saved you more time than you expected?
