Over the last 3 years, I've watched countless online interactions between developers saying "AI-generated code isn't good enough" and other developers saying "AI writes good code - you must be using it wrong".
The explanation might not lie in the generated code itself, though, nor in how they're using AI, but rather in what these developers see (or don't see) in the output.
