Seems to me that he has somewhat of a point. Most of it was inherited from previous administrations. No, that's not an excuse for making it worse, he should definitely get the blame for that. Though I can understand thinking that the problem lies elsewhere.
Think of it like this. If your train is delayed 27 minutes when you get on, and 33 minutes when you arrive, it's probably not the 6 minutes that cause you to miss your connection.
That being said, I believe he did promise to fix inflation in his election campaign, and this is not fixing anything. But that's between him and those who voted for him, and they seem to be in it more for the Jesus cosplay.
