I agree with that we're headed toward authoritarianism.
The in-groups will make sure the out-groups' lives are made miserable, and I actually think they'll attempt to get rid of all the unproductives via social murder.
Meanwhile, the authorities are clamping down on peaceful protest in the UK in the name of saving Jews.
I wish people could understand better what is happening and where this will inevitably lead, i.e. fascism, authoritarianism and general brutality.

Stablecoin will be common, provided you have widespread verified identity online.
Unfortunately, we have chosen the worst people among us as our leaders.
@danish_akhtar7 True, it's not much of a choice though when presidential campaigns literally cost billions, nobody gives that kind of money to someone with integrity who won't make them a profit ;)

@madeindex @tomtrottel It is - but it's also heartening (can we say that? The opposite of disheartening? I think we should) that despite this & even though the rich & powerful hate it as much as they ever did, We鈩笍 have been able to do so throughout history, on a consistent graph - local fluctuations notwithstanding - towards more human rights. It's almost like progress of humanity can't be stopped, only slowed down.

Love that take, I guess you are right, it's up and down but the general trend is towards more rights, just in a downward movement for a while now :))
