@urlyman perhaps worth mentioning that while there are some admittedly important places, such as Scotland, Wales and London that are voting in their national/local elections this week other places in the UK don't get the opportunity to express their disatisfaction with how our countries are being run at the ballot box.
For example there are no elections this year in Teignbridge District Council area in Devon, where I live.
So if you haven't been leafleted or canvassed or not seen any party posters that may be why.
