@petebrown Rock generally, and metal specifically, has a bad habit of burying the bass in the mix. Just ask Jason Newstead.

In this case, it was not so much that I couldn’t hear the bass (although that *was* true) than that what he was doing on the frets more little to no relation to anything going on in the music.
