It must be spring, my great pyrenees appears to be budding

Lovely colour!
Boomer the collie is needing a brush every day or two right now; it sure is coat blowing season. Even her ears are sort of patchy this time! I've never known a dog to molt their ear floof!
@sundogplanets Beautiful Pyr! I feel your pain, though. My Pyr sheds like nobody’s business and he’s an indoor dog…We have him groomed every 4 or 5 weeks and it’s like a white fluffy bomb went off in there. Someone asked about vacuums: Kenmore upright and Miele canister vacuuming doesn’t cut it. We bought a carpet rake to use first (works great!) and *then* vacuum. + brushing at least once/week. FWIW my Golden used to shed just as much
@sundogplanets have you been feeding him after midnight....?
@sundogplanets You can spin and knit that wool. It makes the perfect sweater material for Saskatchewan winters.
In case you're looking for a hobby 😉.
There may be a market for that hair.
@sundogplanets our long former cavalier king charlies x cocker spaniel used to shed so much we have a name for the creatures the would bud off, Higguhs. (Hig- Gooo) we used to have an epic photo of Henry back to back with a higguh we brushed out and you honestly couldn't tell who was who. My kids, now adults still joke, if there's an unexplained rustling in the garden," Hmmm higguhs" is the explination.
Its lovely they inhabit a world full of unseen higguhs scurrying about the edges.
@sundogplanets you can never have too many of these beauties! Haha
What vacuum cleaner do you use in your home?
@EthicalProfessor
I have 3
A stick rechargeable
A Bissell
A Dirt devil
I had a cleaning company and my preferred brand is Shark because they are superior in quality and strength.
Fur is my biggest concern.
@EthicalProfessor @palin She's a working livestock guardian dog, so she lives with the goats, not the house. But cats live in my house. And I do not have a good vacuum cleaner. Recs?
