Obviously the biggest news out of the US this last year was the persecution and imprisonment of numerous people over a noise demo in Prairieland Texas, where one protester fired back at a cop.
Nine individuals were convicted in a sham trial that involved screaming in the jury room and sobbing jurors.

Also in the US, in september Casey Goonan was sentenced to 20 years in Federal prison for burning a police car in Oakland in solidarity with student camps against the genocide.
This march, Jack Mazurek, one of the Stop Cop City defendants entered a non-cooperating plea and took 10 years probation to avoid a 20 year sentence.
However in April, three new people were indicted for Stop Cop City actions, Hannah Kass, Katie Kloth, and Tyler Norman.

In Portland, Jacob Hoopes was arrested in July of last year and plead guilty this Feb for throwing rocks at the ICE building. Reed College shared his alumni records without warrant or subpoena. His sentencing is coming soon.
Ongoing anarchist political prisoner Malik Muhammad was held in solitary for 230 days this last year, in violation of Oregon's 90 day maximum, and then abruptly and secretly moved to North Carolina, his dreadlocks were also forcibly shaved. https://www.anarchistfederation.net/update-on-malik-muhammads-forced-disappearance/
