@ramsey Pretty sure the answer is "it depends" due to the good stuff being pretty heavily locked down license wise. @afilina guessing you've looked into this a bit, but H.264/MPEG-4 *probably* gets you enough of a swath of users, but might need either Ogg Theora or VP9 for the rest.

@ian @afilina I was looking into using VP9 with WebM, since according to MDN, both are supported in all browsers on all platforms, supposedly.
