the doctor who performed the rectal maybe the second coming of our lord and savior Jesus Christ.
Great excuse for next time I have to face the shame in A&E. "I was just trying to regulate my heartbeat Doctor and it got lodged up there".
@TheBreadmonkey ok, but really the vagus nerve is right there!
@TheBreadmonkey Writing case studies is how doctors flex to other doctors without sprinkling party conversations with "so I stuck my finger up his butt and he calmed right down."
@TheBreadmonkey What they really may have discovered is the body’s extraordinary healing power when faced with the prospect of something even more unpleasant than what’s currently happening.
We can call it the mind-booty effect
@TheBreadmonkey
In a week’s time, I’m having a colonoscopy. Does this mean I’ll be *getting* an irregular heartbeat…?
@TheBreadmonkey Can't believe I am sharing this, but with my Parkinson's Plus MSA, autonomic issues, a poke in the hole, as we call it, is on the punch list of things to stabilize my autonomic system during a crisis. It's near the end of the list, but it is on it.
..... Your Honour
(Sorry I'm just messing about)
@TheBreadmonkey mess away. If it weren't for comedy, jokes, satire, etc, I'd be needing more pokes
@TheBreadmonkey
Should my pacemaker be replaced by a rectal exam?
I'm sure it couldn't hurt to ask
@TheBreadmonkey @HeatherMJ ‘couldn’t hurt’ is not strictly true in that case
@TheBreadmonkey
I wonder if cardiology get asked that very often?
Questions, questions!
@TheBreadmonkey be still, my thundering heart!
