One of the things that have improved my quality of life the most in recent years is learning to bake some decent bread.
Live your life in the smell of newly baked Ciabatta with Nigella seeds on top, and your day is so much brighter.

You could just move to France?
@randahl
I've challenged myself to master bread this past week and I can legitimately create fatal blunt force trauma with it.
Damn my carb restricted diet. I love many forms of bread.
@randahl Weight gain isn't something people need eating bread.
There's something deeply satisfying about creating something from scratch with your own hands whether it's bread or rebuilding our civic foundations. Both require patience, care, and faith in the process. That aroma of fresh bread reminds us that the best things come from taking time to do them right. Just like when citizens come together to thoughtfully craft solutions, the results can nourish a whole community.
