1/ Probably not so many here have been following the saga of Vancouver’s Whitecaps who are doing well in the league, drawing big crowds, but are at risk of being relocated to Vegas because the finances are bad because they don't own their stadium. Anyhow, it just got PROFOUNDLY weird.

2/ Anyhow, Dave Eby, premier of BC, the province where Vancouver is, noticed that a lot of people are super pissed about this, and rallied around with a supportive if anodyne message of support, posted on *sigh* Twitter. I apologize for the link:

3/3 Then the Commissioner i.e. CEO of Major League Soccer, replied, also on Twitter. Here's a screen cap. He says:
“Liar liar pants on fire.”
