Chrome is currently presenting me with a complete blank, black page when I attempt to use Meet, on Fedora 44. Have tried clearing cookies, hard reloading page and assets, etc.
This is inconvenient.
(Yes it does work in Firefox actually)

@andypiper Have you tried using an operating system properly instrumented to send them your information? 😉 </troll>
@tmcarr well I don’t have a Chromebook and an Android phone wasn’t ideal for a call sitting at a desk… 🫣
@andypiper Yeah, I'm just joking at how Google tends to break their software on machines that isn't monetarily advantageous to them.
@andypiper Meet has some rather odd failure modes. While trying different methods of censorship circumvention on my router (yes Google Meet is blocked in Russia), a couple of times I somehow got it into a state where it would let me join a meeting and would play audio and display video, but not show any controls
@grishka ... somehow I think I fixed it by further tinkering, resetting device access permissions, turning off Tailscale... one or more of these things appears to have made some difference. 🤞
