a chickadee perches on a fence post looking right at the camera with a tilted head. they are a little grey bird with black collar and cap and white cheeks. very distinguished.

half chickadee, butt directly up in the air, remainder hidden in the fence post. ey are drilling directly down from the top.

hole is easily 6" deep i would say? i have only peeked in once when i first thought they were just going for food. now i think they are trying to nest so i don't want to disturb
